The Chamber is pleased to announce that on March 4th, 2026 the District of Sechelt received a Sechelt Safety Audit commissioned by the Chamber.

The audit was performed by a born and raised Sechelt resident who now works for the City of Vancouver and performs the safety duties for the city.

She spent several days at Hackett Park, Raincity and spoke to a number of individuals there while formulating the plan for the audit.

The plan was on the agenda on March 4th and was referred to staff to see if/how implementation of the recommendations would take place.

Staff were instructed to return within 30 days with recommendations.
