People’s Choice Awards – Last Year (2025)
The fourth annual Sunshine Coast People’s Choice Awards (SCPCA) were proudly presented by the Sunshine Coast Chamber of Commerce and the Coast Reporter.
The 2024 People’s Choice Awards put the spotlight on the variety of amazing local businesses we have here on the coast, celebrate and promote positive stories of community building and economic brilliance, and create a fun and inclusive online event aimed at bringing our community together.
Message from the Chair of the Sunshine Coast Chamber
In a spirited celebration of local excellence, the Sunshine Coast Chamber of Commerce congratulates the winners, finalists and nominees of the fifth annual Sunshine Coast People’s Choice awards. Across 135 categories, we recognized the best of Retail, Health, Wellness and Lifestyle, Services and Food and Drink. This year’s winners capture what makes our beloved business community so distinct: resilience, service and a deep commitment to one another. For five consecutive years, residents of the (lower) Sunshine Coast have made their voices heard by nominating and voting for the places and people that elevate daily life. The breadth of the awards reflects our local economy itself – diverse, hardworking, and anchored by small enterprises that create jobs, provide vital services and infuse our community with character.
Resilience has been a defining theme over the past five years. Through supply chain disruptions, workforce challenges, and shifting customer habits, our small businesses have adapted with creativity – expanding online, reimagining storefronts, and doubling down on customer care. This year’s People’s Choice honorees exemplify that grit, elevating standards while preserving the small-town service that keeps customers coming back. The awards also help to shine a light on how essential small business is to community life beyond the balance sheet. Local owners sponsor youth teams, donate to fundraisers, provide mentorship and mobilize in times of need. When you choose to ‘Keep it Coastal’, you’re not just making a purchase, you’re fueling a virtuous cycle of investment in jobs, public services and the social fabric that binds us.
