The 2025 People’s Choice Awards have officially wrapped up, and what a season it’s been! Nearly 9,000 votes were cast by our community, making this our biggest year yet! Thank you to everyone who took the time to celebrate and support local businesses. Your participation shows just how much our community values keeping it coastal and shopping local.

This year we expanded the awards to include a few new categories, bringing us to a total of 135 categories and first place favourites.

The results featuring the top 3 favourites will be announced in a special Coast Reporter edition on October 17, 2025. First-place favourites will also be invited to an exclusive gala in late October hosted by the Sunshine Coast Chamber of Commerce & the Coast Reporter.

Looking ahead, the nomination process for the 2026 People’s Choice Awards will begin in May, when the Chamber will open a two-week nomination period for the public to put forward their favourite businesses. Be sure to mark your calendars!
